EngiAnalytics: analysing company data in natural language

EngiAnalytics is Engibots' platform for analysing data in natural language. Instead of relying on pre-built reports or asking a technical team to prepare every query, the user asks a question in plain words, such as "what was the margin per customer last quarter", and gets the answer back, complete with the figures and the matching visualisation. It is Engibots' second proprietary platform, alongside EngiMatrix, and it completes the company's approach. EngiMatrix automates the work. EngiAnalytics helps you understand the results of that work.

The problem: too much data, too few answers

Most companies are not short of data. Their data is scattered across several systems, and turning it into answers in time to decide is the hard part. The symptoms are familiar:

The result is slow decision-making, based on intuition rather than information.

What EngiAnalytics is

EngiAnalytics is an analysis layer that sits on top of the data the company already has. Users write their question in plain English, and the platform interprets the intent, queries the data, and returns the answer as text, a table, or a chart. It requires no knowledge of query languages or business intelligence tools.

The logic is to bring analysis closer to the people who need it. A sales, operations, or finance manager no longer waits for a report; instead, they have a conversation with their own data.

How it works

It works in four steps:

  1. Connection to sources: EngiAnalytics connects to the company's databases and systems, such as the ERP, the CRM, or invoicing platforms.
  2. Interpreting the question: artificial intelligence translates the natural-language question into the corresponding technical query.
  3. Answer with context: the platform returns the result together with the appropriate visualisation and an indication of which data was used.
  4. Continuity: users can refine the question successively, as they would in a conversation, without starting from scratch.

Compliance is a baseline requirement. As with every other Engibots project, data processing favours European infrastructure and no sharing with third parties, in line with GDPR (see GDPR and artificial intelligence).

EngiAnalytics and EngiMatrix

The two platforms solve different, complementary problems. EngiMatrix automates processes, carrying out repetitive tasks and connecting systems. EngiAnalytics analyses, turning the resulting data into useful answers. Together, they close the loop: a process is automated, generates reliable data, and that data is immediately available for analysis with no extra work.

Who it makes sense for

EngiAnalytics was designed for companies that do not have a dedicated data analysis team but still need to decide based on information. It is particularly useful in settings with multiple systems and recurring reports, such as distribution, logistics, and international trade, where the questions change every day and the answer cannot take a week (see the conversational analysis case study).
